God bless us all.

I just took BEC yesterday for the second time. I passed FAR and AUD the first time around. Got a 69 on BEC the first time. I made sure I answered all of the Becker questions for this section to 90% proficiency (including supplemental and took both simulated Final Exams) and STILL left the test feeling like I just stepped out of a tornado.

I was very angry because I thought the testlets on BEC followed the MST that the other parts do. I read on-line today that the BEC section does not work that way so there is a glimmer of hope yet.

My words of advice....if you have Becker....READ the book too. I would NEVER suggest that for any other part of the CPA but the multiple choice questions for BEC don't cover the concepts well enough in my opinion. Also, read a good updated Auditing books' I.T. section. The verbiage is much easier to understand and in my opinion, more up to date.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF US! Never give up. The rewards of this certification greatly outweigh the temporary struggles.

I took BEC yesterday.I think i overworked myself preparing for it, the question were not as bad as i thought. But i wasn't relaxed at all. I don't know how i did but i sure hope i pass, so questions were relatively easy and some i fad no freaking clue. What i hate now is waiting for the score, How do you guys deal with the wait? i think i should just start studying for REG right away? Passed auditing with a 77 last october. I pray i pass BEC because i am really worried and U hate it when i feel like this

Hi,

This quesiton is to all who have taken the BEC exam recently. I am just wondering if anybody experienced having more questions on certain topics (of course most questions should be about IT and cost accounting). But I heard several different stories from people who have taken the exam recently and they passed, some people i know who passed recently had a lot of questions on business structure and economics as opposed to cost acct and IT. They didn't expect this, but they still passed. But my question has anybody in here experienced having more questions about business strcuture or econ, or finance, cost acct, it in their exams? I just want to get an idea of what topics they will be asking about the most even know I am aware that about 50% is from IT and cost acct.

I Just opened the letter and saw a 74 on my BEC EXAM. I am sooooooo pissssed. I wanted to wait until I took Auditing on February 28th but I just couldn't wait. I left BEC thinking I nailed it. Well I have to say that this defiantly motivated me to hit the books harder because I dont want to have to deal this pain again!!!

Getting ready to take the BEC Feb. 24 and I just spent two days on lec 3 of becker and I am just beside myself. Of course I have been out of school for ten years now and going back. I have passed AUD and REG, but I'm not sure the algebra will ever come back not to mention the micromacro econ. I see that some posts have said that math was not as intensive though, hopefully studying. Keep at it another71. Don't do like me and go back after so long. Keep at it. It is worth all the time and energy. Some of us are just better at practice than theory!

UGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! A stupid 70 on my BEC section of CPA. I have taken 3 parts of cpa and have failed them all within the 5 point range. I cant go on!!!!!!!! I feel like quiting. I think this exam comes easy for every one but me.

Not true...I took it 14x.

I thought BEC was pretty simple. I just took it on the 3rd and there weren't many math questions on there at all and the ones that were on there were almost stupid how easy they were. I only studied for about a week and a half (and that's during an auditing busy season which means after work at about 8 PM) and I think I probably scored in the mid 80's. Seems like this exam window is an easy one from what I have heard from people taking BEC.

Hey thanks. Good luck to you too. As for me there were probably 8 or 9 math questions, which were doable. Don't worry. Again good luck. I had more questions on fin. mgmt than IT. I just hope I passed. It'd be a great new year present!

I am going for it on Jan 2nd. I am so scared, I passed Reg which I took in Oct but I am not so sure about BEC, cause practice questions from Becker are too much on math calculations. I am not complaining but I think they should have more conceptual questions as well. I feel as for last week of studying, it's better to skim through and do couple of practice questions like the released ones. and more importantly relax. happy new year everyone. wish me luck.

I received my BEC score last week and got a 71 =( I passed regulation though. I used Becker to study for both. I thought the Becker multiple choice questions had a lot more math questions than the actual cpa exam

I got scores for BEC today too. I took the exam 11/24 in Texas. I also got a 74. I hate that score and would rather have a 50!

Just got FL BEC scores to test taken 11/17 and it was 74. Wished they'd just given me a 69 or below as to give a 74.

The math is nothing more than algebra...no worries...you just need to know the formulas.

I am going in for my BEC section on January 3rd. Is this exam as math intensive as I am anticipating? I do not find the BEC section of the CPA as easy as everyone has been telling me. If I am not great with math --- is there still hope that I can pass this?

I have heard that you get the results sooner. Some people I know received results as quick as ten days.

Jason, no BEC does not increase in difficulty.

Got my score, 73. Very frustrating and disspointing, trying to keep a clear head going into audit on tuesday

I have heard that the MC testlet increase or stay the same with difficulty levels based on your answers. But for BEC, that is not the case? is that true?
